A MAN who caused £2,000 worth of damage to a pub wall has been told to pay £250 compensation.

Ciaran Barnes, 23, of Chaffinch Green, Waterlooville, admitted criminal damage.

He damaged the wall of the Denmead Queen pub on August 6 last year. Portsmouth magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
