A ROBBER who stole a purse from an 86-year-old woman is being hunted by police.

The victim was walking home from a shop when a man on a bike stole the purse from her hand at the junction of Prince Albert Road and Devonshire Avenue in Southsea.

The purse contained £30 cash and the victim’s house keys.

The victim was left unable to get into her home.

Now police are appealing for anyone with information about the robbery, which happened between 9am and 9.50am on Saturday, to come forward.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s. He was wearing a blue jacket and a baseball cap.
