A REPLICA rifle was stolen from a house in Hambledon.

Police are appealing for information about the burglary in Hoe Lane.

Between 1pm and 4.15pm on Monday, April 21, offenders smashed the back window of a house.

They stole a number of items including a replica Winchester Rifle in a brown leather case, ornaments, a Samsung camcorder, and a Nikon Sureshot camera in a black case.

Police staff investigator Matthew Williams said: ‘These items are very distinctive and are of great sentimental value to the owner.

‘I am appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who has been offered these items for sale to contact me.’

Anyone with information is asked to call PSI Williams at North Walls Police Station on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
