POLICE have revealed more information about an armed robbery in Portsmouth.

Copnor Mini Mart in Copnor Road was targeted by a man carrying what police believe was a gun. Now they are appealing for information after the raid, which took place at 9.20pm on Thursday.

As reported, three men entered the store and bought a chocolate bar.

A short time later one of the men returned, discreetly showing the firearm and demanding cash – £30 was handed over by the cashier.

Detective Constable Lucia Davies said: ‘We know that customers were in the store before and after the incident.

‘We would be keen to trace these people along with anyone who was in the vicinity.’

Anyone with information should contact CID at Fratton police station on 101, or call Crimestoppers on (0800) 555 111.
