DESCRIPTIONS have been released of three suspects as an inquiry continues into a robbery.

A 33-year-old man was walking along Lake Road, Landport, using his mobile phone when he saw three men walking towards him.

It is alleged two men started to attack him.

One of the men demanded his mobile phone, claiming he had a knife.

The victim handed over his phone and was able to run away from the attackers.

He sustained bruising to his face.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Steve Bourne said: ‘This robbery took place near a number of busy roads where drivers may have seen what happened or seen three men acting suspiciously in the area either before or after the robbery. We would appeal for anyone with information to come forward.’

All the suspects were white and described as being between 19 and 21 years old.

The first about 5ft 11in in height, of slim build, and was wearing a blue-hooded jumper and dark trousers.

The second was 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, and was wearing a black-hooded jumper with the hood up.

The third suspect was about 5ft 9in tall, of average build, with short brown hair and was wearing a grey jacket.

The attack took place between 4.45am and 4.55am last Tuesday.
