THIEVES broke into a house and stole £3,000 and a safe.

A Rolex Mariner watch, which sells for around £5,000, was also taken from the home in Locksway Road, Southsea, on December 17 between 5pm and 7pm.

Hampshire police said the safe contained a quantity of commemorative coins.

A statement said: ‘If you have any information about the burglary or have seen the watch since it was stolen, please get in touch.’
