A THIEF has admitted stealing sandwiches.

Roy Carter, 54, of Halstead Road, Portsmouth, admitted two counts of theft.

He took two sub sandwiches worth £4.20 from Greggs on October 13 in Portsmouth.

Carter also took the same type of items on November 7, from the same shop.

Portsmouth magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge.

No compensation was ordered because of Carter’s financial situation.
