THE murderer of Simon Warton has been jailed today for life.

Sean Bailey was told this morning at Winchester Crown Court that he must serve a minimum of 19 years for stabbing Mr Warton to death outside a party in Curlew Gardens, Wecock.

Bailey, of Robin Gardens, Wecock, attacked Mr Warton whilst high on drink and drugs on April 12.

The 29-year-old had flown into a jealous rage when he saw Mr Warton, of Orsmond Close, Waterlooville, comfort his girlfriend after the pair had had an argument at the house party.

Passing sentence Mr Justice Ian Hamblen said: ‘You haven’t only taken away Simon’s life, you have taken away a significant part of his family’s lives as well.’
