A MAN who attacked a traffic warden has been warned he could face jail.

Darryl McFarlane assaulted Matthew Read after a row over parking in Bulbeck Road, Havant.

McFarlane, 26, of Fiddler Close, Selsey, near Chichester, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court. A second charge of criminal damage was dropped.

McFarlane was released on bail to be sentenced next month.

Judge Sarah Munro QC said: ‘I am going to continue your bail but understand this – that does not indicate in any way the sentence that will in fact be passed upon you.’
