SERIAL thief Thomas Dance has been sent to a young offenders’ institution.

Dance, from Pitcroft Lane, North End, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft and one count of failing to comply with a detention and training order when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Dance admitted stealing hundreds of pounds’ worth of lamb from Iceland in London Road, North End, Portsmouth on five separate occasions.

The 20-year-old also pleaded guilty to flouting his detention and training order by failing to attend supervision three times.

Dance was sentenced to 150 days in a young offenders’ institution.
