POLICE have charged a woman with fraud and wasting police time.

Emma Scott was charged following a probe by Hampshire Constabulary officers into an alleged robbery in Goldsmith Avenue, Fratton.

Scott, 26, of Portchester Road, Southampton, reported being robbed by two men of her mobile phone as she walked along the street near the Shell petrol station at about 2.40pm on February 1.

She was later arrested and charged in connection with the report.

Scott has been released on bail to reappear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court later this month.
