MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for assault.

Christian Darvill pleaded guilty to attacking a man at a flat in Highland Road, Southsea.

Darvill also pleaded guilty to damaging a police cell at Portsmouth Central police station in Winston Churchill Avenue.

The 29-year-old, from Highland Road, Southsea – who has previous convictions for violence and possession of a bladed article – was sentenced to four months in prison by Portsmouth magistrates.
