STEALING cheese and cranberries cost thief Paul Dillon £175.

Dillon was arrested after taking the goods, worth £7, from Tesco in Craswell Street, in Landport, Portsmouth.

The 31-year-old, of Sackville Street, Southsea, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £75 and told to pay £100 in costs.
