DRIVING without any insurance cost motorist Russell Cates £150.

The 42-year-old was stopped by the police as he drove a BMW in Queen’s Crescent, Southsea.

Cates, of Orchard Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance when he appeared at Fareham Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £100 and told to pay £50 in costs. The magistrates added six points to his licence.
