A COURT has ordered a cannabis user to have mental health treatment.

Joshua Gunn was arrested with a small amount of cannabis on him in Arundel Street, Landport, Portsmouth, on August 7. The 20-year-old, of Waverley Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

District Judge Anne Arnold ordered Gunn to undergo 12 months of mental health treatment at Oakdene mental health unit in Southsea.

Gunn will also have 12 months of supervision from the probation service.
