Southsea man who admitted cannabis possession fined

MAGISTRATES have fined a man for possessing cannabis.

Brettland Hood, from Festing Grove, Southsea, pleaded guilty to having a quantity of class B drug on him in Southsea.

The 49-year-old was fined £40.

He was ordered to pay £15 into a fund for victims of crime by Portsmouth magistrates.

Hood was ordered not to leave court until the session ended.

He must pay £50 in court costs.

An order was made for the cannabis resin to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
