A SHOPLIFTER who targeted stores in Southsea will have to stay in at night under a curfew.

Jordan Gilad, 26, stole bottles of Marc Jacobs perfume, worth £200, from Debenhams in Palmerston Road and meat from nearby Sainsbury’s.

He also took perfume from John Lewis in Palmerston Road and an electric razor from Boots.

At the time of the offences Gilad had a conditional discharge hanging over him after he stole a leg of lamb from the Co-op in Great Southsea Street, Southsea.

Gilad, of Shaftesbury Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He will have to wear an electronic tag and stay at home between 7pm and 7am every day for the next two months.
