POLICE are warning shops and offices to be on their guard following a spate of break-ins in Bognor.

There have been break-ins at a pharmacy in Durlston Parade, The Face Barbering in Lyon Street West, where the till was taken, and at Jeffs Hairdressers, Highfield Road, where cash was taken from the till.

The three break-ins happened in the early hours of last Friday.

Overnight last Sunday there was a burglary at the British Heart Foundation office in London Road where the safe and till were forced open and cash taken.

Two men, aged 31 and 19, were arrested in connection with the pharmacy raid and later released on bail until December 9. A spokesman for Sussex Police said: ‘Keep as little cash as possible on the premises while working. Remove any cash from the premises overnight. Leave the till open and empty and display signs saying “No money left on premises”.’
