A DOG taken 10 days ago has been found alive and healthy in Portsmouth – 20 miles away from home.

PC Roger Stephenson said the missing dog vanished from Warnford on October 31 but was found yesterday.

PC Stephenson, who is part of Hampshire Country Watch, said: ‘He was found on Southsea beach and his collar and training collar had been removed. He is very healthy and has been fed as he has not dropped any weight in 10 days.

‘This could suggest that he was stolen and dumped when the word of his disappearance spread.’
