A 46-year-old man arrested in relation to the murder of a Chichester pensioner has been released on bail by police.

The man, from Ipswich, was arrested on Sunday night on suspicion of the murder of 78-year-old Brenda James and has now been bailed until May 19.

Mrs James was found buried in woodland on the Goodwood estate last Thursday.

Her son, Neale James, 50, has already been charged with her murder and has been remanded in custody until a plea hearing on June 3.
