ATTACKER Jonathan Jeannevol has been spared jail.

The 24-year-old, of Northcroft Road, Gosport, admitted assaulting a man in Gosport on September 22.

He admitted committing the crime while subject to a community order imposed for assault and criminal damage.

Jeannevol was sentenced to 12 weeks in jail suspended for 18 months by Fareham magistrates.

He must take part in a Building Better Relationships Programme.

Jeannevol must pay £80 to a fund for victims of crime.
