SUSSEX Police has a new assistant chief constable.

Chief Superintendent Robin Smith has been appointed to the role.

Mr Smith has been with Sussex Police for 27 years.

The appointment follows the departure of Assistant Chief Constable Olivia Pinkney.

He said: ‘It is a tremendous privilege to remain part of a truly dedicated and professional team and look forward to my new role with enormous anticipation.’
