SUSSEX police officers are now wearing small video cameras to help gather evidence at incidents they attend.

The cameras, known as body-worn video, are displayed on an officer’s uniform and capture footage that can later be used as evidence in court.

The force has bought 78 new cameras, which have been distributed across West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

The cameras are about 5in in size and use a memory card to record.
