A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was followed by a group and punched in the face.

The boy suffered a broken jaw and is currently in hospital receiving treatment.

He was walking along Horndean Road, Emsworth, shortly before midnight last night when he was followed by a group of people.

One in the group, which included a woman, punched him in the face once, leaving him with a broken jaw.

A police spokeswoman said: 'Officers investigating the assault would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this or who may have seen a group hanging around the area late last night.'
