A TEENAGER is to face no further action after he was arrested when a 12-year-old girl was racially abused and attacked.

The young black girl was taunted over the colour of her skin and physically assaulted, police said.

It happened near Landport Adventure Playground on September 23 at 4.50pm.

At the time police said two 16-year-old boys, one 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault.

All have now returned bail and one 16-year-old boy will face no further action.

The other three arrested children have been re-bailed to next Monday.

Speaking at the time, a police spokesman said: ‘The girl received medical treatment after the attack but was not badly injured however she was left shocked and traumatised by what happened.’
