SERIAL bike thief Jake Osemobo has been ordered to do unpaid work.

The 19-year-old, of Derby Road, Portsmouth, admitted stealing a £450 bike in Portsmouth.

He admitted to possessing cannabis and to committing the offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge.

Osemobo also admitted stealing two bikes worth a total of £1,140 in Portsmouth and to assaulting one theft victim and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards him.

He pleaded guilty to stealing the back wheel of a bike worth £80 in Portsmouth. The crimes were all committed last month.

He was told to have four months of treatment for drug dependency. Osemobo was told to do 100 hours of unpaid work by Portsmouth magistrates.
