THIEF Brian Kerridge admitted stealing a mobile phone and items from a recycling centre.

Kerridge, 36, of Marlands Lawn, Havant, stole a Samsung mobile phone and items from Havant Household recycling centre. He was fined £50 for the phone and £50 for other items.

At Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court he also admitted failing to surrender to custody after he was released on bail in criminal proceedings at Portsmouth Central Police Station.

Kerridge was fined £20 for this and a £20 victim surcharge.

He was also detained in the court building for part of a day.
