A SHOPLIFTER who assaulted a person within 24 hours of being released from prison has been jailed

Natalie Stewart, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing cosmetics 
worth £188.50 from Boots in Havant.

Stewart also pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her in Havant.

Both of the crimes were committed on November 22.

Stewart was sentenced to 150 days in prison at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates said the offences were aggravated by Stewart’s record of previous offending and failure to comply or respond to court orders.
