A thief has stolen medicine and life-saving equipment from an ambulance.

The primary response bag was stolen from a vehicle parked in Privett Road, in Gosport.

It happened between 8.30am and 9.15am on Monday.

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said the bag did not contain any controlled drugs.

She said: ‘The primary response bag contains life-saving equipment and medicines.

‘The content of the bag is unlikely to cause harm to anyone if used inappropriately

‘However we are appealing to anyone who may know the whereabouts of the bag to return it as soon as possible.

‘The contents of the bag do not hold any monetary value to members of the public and do not contain “controlled” drugs.

‘This piece of equipment is absolutely vital to our staff.

‘The theft could have delayed the availability of an ambulance.’

The suspect is white, was wearing a black hat and riding an orange bike.

Call police on 101.
