HAND-MADE garden machinery was stolen from a vehicle parked in someone’s driveway.

Police are appealing for information after a number of tools were stolen from the car in Bishop’s Waltham.

At some time between 6pm on March 27 and 6pm on March 28, somebody stole five items from a vehicle parked in Langton Road.

The items included a hedge trimmer, a lawn mower, a leaf blower and two strimmers.

The stolen items have an estimated combined value of around £2,050.

PC Jonathan Earnshaw, from Hampshire Constabulary, said: ‘One of the petrol strimmers was hand-made by the victim.

‘It has a Makita engine with a Honda strimmer head.

‘The engine is red and the rest is silver. This is an usual piece of machinery.

‘Have you been offered it or any of the other items for sale? Do you know anyone who has recently acquired a strimmer matching the description or any of the other stolen items?

‘I would urge anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward and speak to us. Did you see or hear anything suspicous in the area of Langton Road around the time of the incident? If you have any information please get in touch to help us find the person or people responsible.’
