A SHOPLIFTER caught stealing from the same shop three times in two days has been told to pay compensation.
John Walsh, 45, of London Road, Portsmouth, admitted stealing £82.75 of meat from Sainsbury’s supermarket in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, on January 12.
About an hour later he stole meat worth £64.37 from the same shop.
Walsh also pleaded guilty to stealing £126 worth of meat from the store on the previous day.
Walsh admitted stealing three coats worth £60 from Mothercare World in Commercial Road on December 15 and to breaching a conditional discharge imposed for another theft.
He was given a two-year conditional discharge.
Walsh was told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £268.75 in court costs by Portsmouth magistrates.
