JEWELLERY has been stolen from a house after a burglar broke in through the kitchen window.

A variety of items were stolen from the home in Siskin Close, Bishop’s Waltham, including earrings, brooches, rings, necklaces and chains, a watch and a charm bracelet.

The break-in took place between 9.30am and 1pm on April 19, but police have only now released details.

PC Craig Robinson said: ‘I am keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who saw a man described as white, aged 45 to 50, slim and about 5ft 10in.

‘He was clean shaven with dark collar-length wavy hair and was wearing a dark-coloured jacket and trousers.’

Anyone with any information should contact PC Robinson at North Walls Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
