THIEVES ransacked a home and stole a woman’s jewellery in a day time raid.

Police are seeking witnesses to the burglary at a home in Maylings Farm Road, Fareham on Friday.

The homeowner had gone out at 7.30am.

When she returned at 5.25pm the front door was still locked but in the kitchen, the back door had been unlocked.

Police say marks were found on the kitchen window suggesting it was forced open to reach through to the door.

Two bedrooms had been ransacked and several pieces of costume jewellery were taken.
