A FAMILY was left traumatised when Christmas presents were stolen in a midnight raid on their house.

Thieves took an iPad, laptop, Xbox 360, jewellery and an unknown quantity of cash when they struck at the property in Elgin Road, Cosham, on Wednesday.

Police are now looking for witnesses to come forward and provide more information about the incident, which took place between midnight and 8am.

PC Helen Bibby said: ‘This is a house burglary that has traumatised a family and devastated the children who have had Christmas gifts stolen.

‘We are appealing to witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Elgin Road area to contact us immediately on 101.’
