Police have arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of murder after the body of Christopher Butler was found in Southsea on New Year’s Day.

A 23-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, who were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, have been bailed until February 17.

The body of 27-year-old Mr Butler was discovered at an address in Waverley Road on January 1.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Investigation Team at Fratton police station on 101, quoting Operation Turtle. Alternatively call the anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
