THREE people have been arrested after a police discovered a man with life-threatening injuries at a house in Southsea.

Officers were called to the property in Beach Road at about 6pm on Saturday following reports of a disturbance there.

The man was found at the house but the cause of his injuries has not yet been revealed.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where his condition was last night described as ‘life-threatening.’

Three people were arrested and were last night being quizzed by police.

Hampshire Constabulary has released no further details at this stage, however the street was cordoned off while officers worked at the scene.

A force spokesman said in a statement: ‘Police are currently dealing with an incident in Southsea where a man has been seriously injured.

‘Beach Road is currently closed to allow officers to investigate exactly what happened.

‘Officers were called to a house in Beach Road at about 6pm following reports of a disturbance.

‘Upon arrival they found a man with serious injuries.

‘He has been taken to Southampton General Hospital and is in a life-threatening condition.’

‘Three people have been arrested and are currently in police custody.’
