THREE men have been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Fareham.

Police said John Nathaniel Morris, 23, of Bishopsfield Road, Fareham, Ian Hawkin, 46, of Bishopsfield Road, Fareham and Keith Eric Brian Hawkins, 26, from Dalton in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, have all been charged with attempted murder.

They have been remanded into custody and will appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The charges relate to an incident which occurred shortly before 10pm on Friday in which a 46-year-old-man was assaulted resulting in serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The incident happened in woodland near to The Gillies in Fareham.
