A MAN caught drink-driving while disqualified has been spared jail.

Scott Barker pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Mondeo in Keyes Road, Gosport, after drinking too much alcohol.

A test revealed the 38-year-old’s breath contained 80 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

That is more than twice the legal limit of 35mg per 100ml of breath.

Barker who lives care of Leyton Road, Bridgemary, Gosport, also admitted driving the car while banned from getting behind the wheel.

He was sentenced to eight weeks in jail suspended for a year.

Fareham magistrates ordered Barker to do 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.

He was banned from driving for three years.
