ROBBERS punched a man in the head before running off with his phone and wallet.

The 21-year-old victim was attacked by two men on the A32 north of the Brockhurst roundabout in Gosport.

He gave the robbers his silver LG mobile phone, a black iPod Touch with a black rubber case and a black and beige suede wallet.

The man was treated for cuts and bruises to his face after the robbery at 10pm on Thursday.

Detectives believe the same robbers may have targeted a teenager hours later.

At midnight, a 17-year-old boy was led into a car park in Brewers Lane by three men.

They demanded he hand over his iPhone and wallet with £200 in cash.

The boy was unharmed.

Detective Constable David Sheppard said: ‘These are two unprovoked robberies, the first of which happened on a busy road.

‘Given the close proximity of location and time, along with similarities in the descriptions, we believe these two robberies may have been committed by the same individuals.’

The victim of the first robbery told police one of the attackers was about 24 to 27 years old and had a ‘tribal’ tattoo on his neck, while the other man had a long, black hair and was wearing a grey Nike T-shirt with a red tick logo and black bottoms

The second victim said all the three offenders were aged between 19 and 20.

Witnesses should call police on 101.
