Tributes were paid to David Guy after his torso was found on Southsea beach.

Dozens of messages were left on a page set up on Facebook called R.I.P. David Guy following the 30-year-old’s death.

Many people shared their memories of David – who had been given the nickname Nic Nac – as they unite in their grief and anger at his horrific death.

Some were from former schoolmates of David, who went to St Luke’s School in Southsea – now Charter Academy.

Kirsty Anita Robertson wrote: ‘U were such a funny kind person and always made me laugh, got some good memories of u, thoughts are with ur family and friends xx’

‘I’ll always remember you for the funny person you were and the banter you gave me in the playground. I always remember chasing you from a block at school to the music room trying to give you a playful dig. Hope you’re now in a better place.

‘My heart and thoughts go out to your family and close friends at this sad time and I really hope justice is done soon so you can rest in peace xxx’
