TWO men and a woman shouted relentless racist abuse at a pregnant woman in Portsmouth.

Hampshire Police said the 33-year-old victim has been left distressed and afraid to go out after the verbal assault.

She was at The Hard when the trio launched their unprovoked tirade.

PC Richard Griffiths said: ‘The trio were relentless in their verbal assault and their uneducated comments linked directly to race and skin colour and have left the pregnant victim distressed and afraid to go out.

‘I would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or can identify the trio.’

All three suspects were seen between the Victory pub and the Co-op shop behaving in an abusive and disorderly manner.

It happened at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, June 16.

The three suspects are described as:

• White man, in his 50s with short grey hair, short and with a pot belly.

• White man in his 30s with dark hair, wearing a blue top.

• White woman in her 50s, thin with a dark ponytail. She was wearing flower print trousers or a one piece.
