A WOMAN and a man ended up with numerous cuts and scratches after a street brawl in Waterlooville.

Five people – one woman and four men – were involved in a fight in Chaffinch Green, Wecock.

A man and woman, both aged 25, were assaulted and had to be taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham in Portsmouth for treatment.

Police later arrested two men, aged 44 and 47, following the incident, which happened at about 8pm last Thursday.

The men have been released on bail as police continue to investigate.

Detective Constable Terry Cullen, from Waterlooville CID, said: ‘This is a densely- populated residential area and it is likely that people would have been in the area at the time. We would urge them to come forward if they saw or heard anything, no matter how small they feel it may be.’
