A THIEF caught handling stolen goods has been ordered to do unpaid work.

Aiden Parsons, 19, of Astra Walk, Gosport, pleaded guilty to selling a stolen bike in Gosport.

He admitted stealing an iPod worth £200 and to stealing two Samsung Galaxy mobile phones in a separate theft.

Parsons committed the crimes between April 12 and June 8.

He was put under supervision for a year and ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year.

Parsons was ordered to take part in eight education, training and employment sessions.

He was told to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next year at Fareham Magistrates’ Court.

Parsons must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £560 costs.
