POLICE are hunting a motorcylist who attacked a teenager in a road rage assault in Fareham.

TThe 19-year-old victim had been travelling as a passenger in a van heading along Cuckoo Lane when a motorbike reportedly cut in front.

The van driver sounded the horn and both he and the motorcyclist pulled over on Titchfield Road.

The victim got out and was assaulted by the motorcyclist, suffering a chipped tooth and swelling to his face.

Police today revealed details of the assault, which happened at around 8am on Friday, February 6, as they appealed for witnesses to the assault and have released a description of the motorcyclist.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5ft 8ins tall, in his early 20s and average build. He was wearing black bike leathers, black helmet and black gloves.

PC Kerry Needham said: ‘This was an unprovoked attack and any help in identifying this man would be appreciated. With your help, I hope we can get him to answer for his behaviour.

‘Were you in the area of Titchfield Road on Friday morning? Did you see this incident or have information that can help?’
