VANDALS broke in to an infant school and damaged a sensory garden causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

The incident happened at Wallisdean Infant School, in Wallisdean Avenue, Fareham between 6pm Tuesday and 6am on Wednesday.

Police have launched an investigation into the break in, which was discovered by the headteacher.

A spokesman said they were treating it as criminal damage as glass had been smashed.
