MOTORISTS have been urged to keep their vehicles locked and remove valuables following a spate of thefts.

Police received reports of five thefts from Petersfield overnight on Monday.

A Sat Nav, Wii and Nintendo DSI games consoles and a pram were among items stolen from the vehicles in Hylton Road, Stoneham Close, Drum Mead and Rushes Road.

Investigating officer PC Phil Shore said: ‘We’d like to hear from anyone who has information on these crimes.

‘Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in these areas? Have you been offered a sat-nav for sale recently?

‘I’d like to advise motorists to take all valuables with them and make sure cars are locked.’
