FEMALE drivers are being warned to be on their guard after a spate of thefts at supermarkets in East Hampshire.

Police say two smartly-dressed Eastern European men have been approaching drivers in car parks and asking for directions.

One of the men asks for directions and a large map is placed across the driver’s window.

While the driver is distracted, one of the men enters the car and steals personal belongings. PC Daniel Stork Banks said: ‘These two men are targeting women on their own.’
