A WARNING has been issued to drivers to make sure they lock their cars after the police received reports of several thefts over the weekend.

PCSO Ian Wright, from Fareham Police Station, said: ‘We have been made aware of several thefts from motor vehicles. It would appear that vehicles are possibly not being locked when left unattended, giving an opportunity for the whole vehicle to be searched including the boot.

‘Please be sure that you lock your vehicle when left unattended and remove any items of value from within.’

Report crime to police on 101.
