Have your say

ROGUE traders are currently cold calling in the Bedhampton and surrounding areas.

Hampshire County Council is warning people of the scam where callers offer free loft and cavity wall insulation and give the false impression they are working for or on behalf of the county council.

Trading Standards officers advised residents not to agree to work instigated as a result of a cold call or via a leaflet drop. They said people should obtain at least three written quotes from reputable businesses, which should be members of the Hampshire County Council’s Buy With Confidence Scheme or a recognised trade association.

If anyone has any information about traders who are cold calling or requires any advice on doorstep crime they can contact the county council on (01962) 833666 during office hours from Monday to Friday.
