A 61-YEAR-OLD drink-driver has been banned from the roads.

Peter Spratt, of Monarch Close, Waterlooville, admitted driving a Lexus in Hurstville Drive, Frendstaple Road and Monarch Close in Waterlooville after drinking too much.

A test revealed his blood contained 90 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 80mg.

Spratt was fined £500 and told to pay £80 costs and £15 to crime victims by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was banned from driving for a year by the court.
